Craig Ducommun is a West Coast Canadian based writer/composer specializing in background instrumental/underscore music for Film/TV and games.

Music has always been a huge part of Craig’s life beginning at age seven with piano lessons all the way till now as a seasoned multi-instrumentalist and writer/composer. He has been writing and performing music across Canada and the US since 1985.

Craig's exploration and love of music has taken him from rock and roll, touring and opening for larger acts across Canada and the US, to living in New Orleans basking in and absorbing the thriving musical culture there, to contemporary instrumental jazz, touring and playing across Canada to writing music for motion pictures.

His instrumental jazz group, Springer/Ducommun Group was signed to the Maximum Jazz imprint, distributed by the Universal Music Group.  As co-leader and co-composer for the group he helped steer performances at the prestigious Montreal and Vancouver International Jazz Festivals and helped the group garner a West Coast Music Award nomination for Best Instrumental Group.

Nowadays, with further training in Film Scoring from the Berklee College of Music Craig is writing background instrumental/underscore music for Film/TV and games.  Ranging from lush orchestral/symphonic to stripped down minimalist to contemporary electronic driven pieces, Craig is producing music that is emotive, evocative and tailored to any and all situations.
